About J-SMARC
The Japan Strategic Medical Administration Research Center (J-SMARC) was established on June 1, 2017. J-SMARC contributes to the development of the medical services from the perspective of a medical and business administration, leading to the promotion of national health and welfare. This association is composed of the following departments: 1) Medical management strategies, 2) Clinical research and development, 3) Global strategies.

The Japan Strategic Medical Administration Research Center (J-SMARC) engages in the following projects:
- Holding seminars and academic conferences about medical strategies
- Publishing books and papers about medical strategies
- Constructing and analyzing medical database
- Outcomes research for understanding the actual situation and improvement of clinical practice
- Medical professionals’ training, dispatch, and career consultation
- Hospital management services
- The application of artificial intelligence (AI) to healthcare
- Commissioned business of examination and clinical research
- Development of functional foods
- All projects associated with the provisions of the preceding paragraph
